Role Summary
The Senior Director of Global Financial Systems will be involved in all aspects of the company’s global financial systems, including application support, defining strategic direction, implementing new initiatives and the overall operability of the larger global financial systems ecosystem. This position will provide strategic guidance to senior leadership and support broader corporate functional objectives related to financial systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the Global Financial Systems team
- Responsible for all aspects of financial systems applications, including functional and technical support of day-to-day operations as well as technical development to enable growth of the global platform
- Define strategic initiatives that align with emerging technologies and corporate objectives
- Ensure the seamless operation, integration, and enhancement of financial applications to meet evolving business needs
- Support the execution of financial systems strategy, including full scale implementation of new systems and the ongoing enhancement of existing systems and processes driving towards standardization and compliance
- Drive process improvement initiatives as they relate to financial systems and processes
- Oversee compliance, security, and best practices in financial system management
- Facilitate interdepartmental communication and understanding between functional system end users and application development teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree – Accounting/Finance
- Certified Public Accountant preferred
- 10+ years of Enterprise Systems Management
- Business Process Management Experience
- Conversational Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus

- Effective communication skills
- Skilled at conflict resolution and cross-functional business partnership
- Track record of attracting, retaining and developing high-performing teams
- Experience working with global teams
- Demonstrates working knowledge of technical accounting concepts and familiarity with the Latin American tax environment and statutory reporting requirements
- Proficiency in application development, data relationships and essential controls to ensure strong data governance and integrity
- In-depth understanding of integration protocols, framework and tools commonly used to support system connectivity and data transfers
- Lean/Six Sigma mindset to foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Comprehension of effective internal controls framework required to support financial reporting
- Awareness of business process interdependencies and impact of downstream and upstream changes
- Architectural understanding of Workday and Anaplan, or comparable best of bread ERP, HRIS and EPM solutions
- Intermediate proficiency in MSSQL
