Senior ServiceNow Consultant
Remote Position
8+ Months Project ( Contract-to-perm role)
The Senior ServiceNow Consultant will provide hands-on design and development expertise, supporting ServiceNow-based consulting initiatives. This role involves working with architects, SMEs, and process consultants to deliver end-to-end implementations, including migrating data and processes from legacy tools like BMC Remedy, integrating with enterprise systems (SCCM, SCOM, SAP, Workday), and configuring ITSM and ITOM modules.
Key Responsibilities: - ServiceNow Development & Customization:
- Develop and enhance ITSM and ITOM modules based on business needs.
- Configure ITOM Discovery, CMDB health dashboard, health metrics, and scheduled discoveries.
- Implement custom integrations using REST/SOAP, Flow Designer, Data Stream, and Scripted REST API.
- Migration & Integration:
- Migrate data/processes from legacy tools (e.g., BMC Remedy) to ServiceNow.
- Configure and integrate ServiceNow with enterprise applications (SCCM, SCOM, SAP, Workday).
- Solution Design & Consulting:
- Work closely with business analysts and project managers to define and implement technical solutions.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and gain stakeholder approval.
- Provide technical leadership in full lifecycle ServiceNow implementations.
- Technical Communication & Documentation:
- Document designs, processes, and solutions for internal and client use.
- Present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Coaching & Mentorship:
- Mentor and advise junior ServiceNow developers.
- Contribute to the development of custom IP solutions in ServiceNow.
Qualifications & Experience: - Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow design, development, and implementation experience.
- Strong expertise in ITSM & ITOM (must have hands-on implementation and integration experience).
- Experience developing custom integrations (REST/SOAP, Flow Designer, Data Stream, Scripted REST API).
- At least two full lifecycle ServiceNow implementations as a lead consultant.
- Strong requirements gathering and solution design skills.
- Experience configuring ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping, including MID server setup.
- Technical Skills:
- Java, JavaScript, or functional programming languages.
- Deep understanding of ITIL practices.
Certifications (Required):
- ServiceNow System Administrator
- Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) (preferably in ITSM and ITOM)
- ITIL v3 Certification
Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills for customer engagements.
- Leadership and teamwork experience in complex environments.
