The Workday HRIS Administrator effectively manages and optimizes the Workday HRIS system. This role is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of Workday to support HR, benefits, and other key functions. Ensuring data integrity, system security, and process efficiency, the Workday HRIS Administrator provides technical expertise, troubleshooting, and end-user support. This role works closely with the People team and key stakeholders to enhance system functionality, maximize Workday’s capabilities, and align the platform with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Workday modules (HCM, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Talent Optimization, and Learning).
- Configure business processes, security roles, integrations, and workflows.
- Monitor and implement system updates, feature releases, and enhancements.
- Develop and maintain calculated fields, custom reports, dashboards, and integrations.
- Troubleshoot system issues, collaborate with Workday Support, and provide technical support to HR, managers, and employees.
- Develop user guides, training materials, conduct training sessions, and create SOPs.
- Ensure data accuracy, manage security and access controls, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory policies.
- Support internal and external audits with necessary reports and documentation.
- Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and recommend system enhancements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess system needs and propose optimizations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Some prior experience in a human resources role (e.g., HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, HR Specialist, or a comparable position) REQUIRED.
- 3 years of Workday HRIS administration experience REQUIRED.
- Workday certification(s) in HCM, Reporting, or Integrations, highly preferred.
- Proficient in HRIS management and system configurations.
- Proficiency in Workday configuration, reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Workday EIBs, and integration tools is a plus.
- Experience working in HRIS roles within a fast-paced or global organization.
- Knowledge of HR processes, compliance, and industry best practices.
