Coterra is hiring a Compensation Analyst in Houston, Texas
As a Compensation Analyst for Coterra, you will be responsible for supporting the management, implementation, and administration of the compensation and total reward programs, You will ensure the programs are competitive to market and support the company’s compensation goals, by providing key information and developing solutions to internal stakeholders and supporting HR management. This position reports to the Total Rewards Manager, and is located onsite at our Houston, Texas headquarters.
JOB SUMMARY
Supports the Senior Compensation Analyst and the Total Rewards Manager in the design, analysis, and administration of Coterra’s compensation programs.
Manages the daily administration of compensation programs, ensuring accurate results and timely delivery.
Assists in conducting job evaluations, benchmarking data, and making salary recommendations. Assists in benchmarking current pay practices and modeling of potential changes to total rewards programs.
Participates in market-based compensation survey submissions and assist in in analyzing market to assess trends and industry-specific variables. Works with salary survey system to load and validate the results.
Administers company’s compensation programs, including base pay, annual salary increases, and quarterly and annual bonus incentives.
Works with HRIS and IT staff to ensure that HRIS software systems meets compensation needs, and that systems are maintained to reflect changes to salary structures, bonus programs, etc. Consults with HRIS team to design management reports.
Assists HRIS on system maintenance and improvements for the Compensation module within Workday.
Provides guidance on compensation matters to Management and HR business partners. Support Total Rewards initiatives and assist with various ad hoc projects and requests. Responsible for administrating the different HR and Compensation system platforms, such as PayFactors, Workday Compensation, Fidelity, etc.
Continuously reviews and provides improvements to current processes within Compensation and HR.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Workday experience preferred
Experience with PayFactors, PayScale or other compensation data repository tool preferred
Strong analytical skills required, with attention to detail.
Creative problem solver and highly organized
Ability to handle multiple projects/requests at the same time
Strong relationship building skills, able to build credibility with leaders and peers.
Strong ethics, integrity, and confidentiality skills

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is typically performed indoors in an office environment. You must be able to perform work which includes typing, sitting and standing. In the event there are visits operations worksite, personal protection equipment, including head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and flame resistant clothing is required. Safety rules including OSHA and DOT requirements are strictly enforced. Employees must be willing to travel and work extended hours on short notice.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
5% - Travel will be required for mandatory meetings, training and visits to field locations.
