Position Title: Workday HCM FINS Administrator
Position Overview:
Bay Area Community Resources is embarking on an exciting journey to transform our People and Finance with Workday HCM and FIN. We're seeking a highly motivated Workday FINS and HCM Administrator to join our team during this pivotal phase. This key role will manage and support the implementation and ongoing support of Workday's Human Capital Management (HCM) and Financials (FINS) systems, ensuring they function seamlessly to meet our organizational needs. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of Workday systems, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a strong collaborative mindset to work effectively with colleagues in data intensive roles and with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- System Management & Administration:
- Administer, configure, and support Workday HCM and Workday Financials (FINS) modules, ensuring they meet the needs of the organization
- Manage system updates, enhancements, and troubleshooting, collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify and implement improvements
- Maintain user roles, permissions, and security settings within Workday to ensure appropriate access and data integrity
- Draft documentation and lead training effort on new SKU implementation or process improvements
- Integration & Support:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Workday HCM and FINS system-related inquiries and issues
- Work closely with IT, Finance, People & Culture (P&C), and other teams to ensure smooth system integration and data flow across Workday modules and with external systems for banking, benefits, CRM and others
- Facilitate a learning environment and provide user support and training for staff on Workday HCM and Financials functionalities, ensuring optimal utilization of the system
- Communicate Workday system processes and best practices
- Data Management & Reporting:
- Generate, analyze, and maintain key reports related to HCM and FINS data, including financials, payroll, and employee information
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of data across modules
- Develop and implement reporting solutions to help stakeholders make informed decisions
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
- Stay updated with the latest Workday product features, releases, and best practices, bringing innovative solutions to improve organizational processes
- Identify opportunities for system optimization and automation to streamline workflows and improve efficiency within the HCM and FINS modules and with external systems
- Compliance & Best Practices:
- Work with the internal team to ensure compliance with GAAP, grant funding, information security and privacy laws and regulations, and internal policies through effective system configuration and management
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure all Workday-related processes align with organizational goals and mission
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Workday HCM and/or Workday Financials (FINS) administration
- Knowledge of nonprofit financial operations and (HR) processes (preferred).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work across diverse teams
- Detail-oriented with a focus on data integrity and security
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt to changing environments
Education & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in financial system administration, with at least 2 year experience in Workday
- A basic understanding of human resources, accounting, payroll processes and data, with the ability to translate business needs into system solutions
- Experience with Workday business process configuration, report writing, and data management
- Workday Pro FINS or Workday Pro Security certification is a plus but not required
