A Workday Grants Consultant typically works with organizations to implement, optimize, and support Workday’s Grants Management module. This role is often found within consulting firms, implementation partners, or as an in-house consultant at organizations using Workday.
Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Workday Grants Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing and configuring the Workday Grants Management module, along with a deep understanding of financial systems and grants management processes. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure successful deployment and adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead or assist in the implementation of Workday Grants Management, including requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, and deployment.
Collaborate with clients to understand their business processes, financial workflows, and grants management lifecycle.
Provide expert guidance on Workday capabilities and best practices.
Develop and execute detailed project plans and timelines.
Configure Workday Grants Management to align with client needs, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
Conduct training sessions and workshops for end-users and stakeholders.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues during and after implementation.
Support post-go-live operations and provide ongoing system enhancements.
Document business requirements, functional specifications, and user guides.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
3+ years of experience with Workday Financials, specifically Workday Grants Management.
Strong understanding of grants management lifecycle, fund management, and financial reporting.
Experience with Workday implementation projects or as a Workday functional consultant.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Workday certification in Financials or Grants Management (preferred).
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in higher education, nonprofit organizations, or research institutions.
Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
