Senior Compensation Analyst - Global Law Firm
Location: NYC, Chicago & Washington DC
Compensation: $120K - $150K base + Bonus

About the Role
As a Senior Compensation Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing compensation programs that align with business goals while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. You will collaborate closely with managers to analyze job duties, determine FLSA classifications, and recommend competitive salary structures, leveraging compensation planning software and HRIS systems.
Key Responsibilities
Data Management & Compliance:
- Maintain and audit compensation-related data, including job codes, FLSA classifications, and salary scales.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Communicate regulatory updates and compensation policies to leadership.
Job Analysis & Salary Management:
- Partner with managers to assess job responsibilities, skills, and requirements.
- Conduct job evaluations and determine appropriate salary ranges.
- Lead the annual merit review, pay equity analysis, and off-cycle promotions.
Compensation Planning & Strategy:
- Utilize MarketPay or similar tools for market benchmarking.
- Support compensation management and reporting within Workday.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices to refine compensation strategies.
Manager Support & Communication:
- Serve as a key resource for managers, guiding them on compensation policies and salary planning.
- Effectively communicate compensation strategies and initiatives across the firm.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in compensation analysis, preferably in a professional services environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Proficiency in MarketPay or similar compensation planning software.
- Experience working with Workday or equivalent HRIS platforms.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
- CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) certification is a plus.
