The Workday Advanced Compensation Consultant is responsible for the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Workday’s Advanced Compensation module. This role works closely with clients to design and deliver compensation solutions that support business objectives, ensure compliance, and drive employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or support the implementation of Workday Advanced Compensation, including requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Analyze client compensation strategies and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend best practices.
- Configure and customize compensation plans, merit cycles, bonus programs, and related processes within Workday.
- Ensure compensation solutions are aligned with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with HR and business leaders to design compensation structures that support talent management and business goals.
- Conduct system testing, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
- Provide training and documentation to end users and administrators.
- Stay up to date with Workday releases and new features related to compensation.
- Support clients with ongoing maintenance, updates, and process improvements after implementation.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and expert guidance.
Requirements
Hard Skills
- Advanced configuration and implementation experience with Workday Advanced Compensation (merit, bonus, stock plans) is Mandatory
- Strong understanding of Workday HCM, Core Compensation, and related modules (Benefits, Talent, Recruiting, Reporting)
- Proficiency in data management, including data conversion, validation, and integration tools (iLoads, EIB, XML)
- Experience with Workday business process configuration, security administration, and reporting
- Familiarity with the full Workday implementation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, testing (UAT), and production support
- Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, SOX) and data privacy best practices

Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree a plus
Current Workday certifications required:
- Workday HCM Core
- Workday Core Compensation
- Workday Advanced Compensation
- Additional certifications in Benefits, Recruiting, Talent, Reporting, or Data Conversion preferred
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) is a strong plus
Preferred Experience
- 3–5+ years of hands-on Workday consulting experience, with a focus on Advanced Compensation
- Demonstrated success in leading or supporting at least 2–3 end-to-end Workday Advanced Compensation implementations
- Experience working with both technical and functional stakeholders in a consulting or client-facing environment
- Prior experience in a high-growth, innovative, and collaborative culture similar to Sansar Tec is highly valued
