RTX Corporation is seeking an experienced and dynamic
Director of Global Employee Communities to lead the formation and execution of our global employee community strategy. In this role, you will drive the creation and enhancement of employee communities that promote knowledge sharing, foster connections, and bring employees together around key company priorities and organizational change initiatives. Your work will directly contribute to RTX’s culture, employee experience, and the achievement of our strategic goals.
This role will collaborate across RTX businesses and geographies with senior HR and business leaders to design and implement a comprehensive RTX employee community strategy that enables organizational success and enhances the employee experience. The position will report directly to the Executive Director, Enterprise Employee Experience and will shape and deliver strategies that will have a lasting impact on the organizational culture and daily experiences of employees.
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute the RTX global employee community strategy, focusing on creating an environment that encourages collaboration, open communication, continuous learning and knowledge sharing – and where all employees feel valued, respected, supported, and engaged.
- Influence executives and collaborate across business units, geographies and countries to engage in impactful community groupings that leverage our breadth and scale to enhance employee productivity and knowledge management, while fostering strong employee connections and relationships.
- Build relationships with employees to understand their interests, concerns, and ideas for mobilizing and convening employees, and improving the workplace experience.
- Develop and empower community leaders to be change champions and activation points for strategic enterprise transformations and CORE adoption, while supporting employee well-being and satisfaction.
- Understand the strategic priorities of the company to fully tap into the power of the employee communities; lead and partner with employee community leaders to align goals with organizational priorities.
- Coach employee community leaders to execute against strategies collaboratively to maximize performance and mitigate duplication of effort.
- Analyze internal and external best practices to develop strategies for creating, sustaining, and scaling Expert Communities of Practice within the organization to build a culture that encourages collaboration, open communication, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing.
- Oversee and facilitate the creation, growth, and maintenance of specialized communities where RTX employees can share best practices and expertise.
- Track, report and continuously improve upon the community structure and processes to become a world class standard that attracts and accelerates the growth of talent.
- Lead cross-functional partnership with Communications and Digital Technology to develop an enterprise approach for leveraging RTX Connections to grow network engagements.
- Work collaboratively with leaders and functional partners to effectively communicate and coordinate employees to engage.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in knowledge management, employee community management, industry best practices to ensure RTX employee communities evolve in line with emerging needs.
- Manage budget for functional area of responsibility.
- Travel up to 30%, or as needed.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years’ experience.
- Relevant experience in Human Resources, Culture, Talent Development and/or Organizational Effectiveness.
- Previous experience applying change management models and leading varying levels of transformation/change involving multiple stakeholder groups at an enterprise level.
- Experience in successfully designing, deploying, and managing large-scale people initiatives.
- Analytical skills, with the ability to aggregate and utilize data to influence decisions.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of employee experiences frameworks, knowledge management, and resource allocation.
- Effective leader of others with ability to build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience generating professional, impactful, and persuasive presentations that effectively communicate to multiple audiences, including executive leaders.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced, high-growth environment, demonstrating agility and flexibility. Comfortable in ambiguity and managing risk decisions.
- Demonstrates project management skill sets with a continuous improvement and solution-oriented mindset.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working across diverse geographies and cultures.
- Experience in managing community or engagement programs within a corporate setting.
- Knowledge of best practices in driving cultural change and employee engagement.
- A self-starter with a process improvement mindset.
- Change Management Certification.
- At a minimum, CORE Apprentice and/or Champion Certification.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel).
- Experience working at one or more RTX BUs, ES and/or Corporate.
Location
- Remote within the U.S, though there's a preference for a hybrid role type from any major RTX location.
- Position will require accommodating the U.S Eastern Time Zone for at least a portion of the workday.

The salary range for this role is 176,000 USD - 352,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
