Client needs an experienced Organizational Change Management Lead with Workday Experience in Healthcare. The Workday Organizational Change Management (OCM) Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the transition to Workday is smooth and successful. This position focuses on managing the people side of change, preparing and supporting employees, and ensuring that the organization effectively adopts and utilizes the new system. The candidate must have exposure to Workday, no exceptions.
The Project is scheduled to be for 8 months and includes HRIS (Human Resource Information System) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Management).
Job Responsibilities:
1. Change Management Strategy
- Develop OCM Plans: Create a comprehensive change management strategy that outlines how the organization will transition to Workday.
- Stakeholder Analysis: Identify and analyze key stakeholders, understanding their needs, concerns, and influence on the change process.
2. Communication
- Communication Plans: Develop and implement communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed about the Workday implementation, its benefits, and what to expect.
- Message Development: Craft clear, consistent messages that address concerns and promote buy-in from all levels of the organization.
3. Training and Support
- Training Needs Assessment: Assess the training needs of different user groups based on their roles and interactions with Workday.
- Training Programs: Design, develop, and implement training programs that equip users with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively use Workday.
- User Support: Establish support structures, such as help desks or user forums, to assist employees during and after the transition.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
- Build Relationships: Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and end-users, to encourage support and engagement.
- Feedback Mechanisms: Create channels for gathering feedback from users throughout the implementation process and incorporate this feedback into change management strategies.
5. Resistance Management
- Identify Resistance: Monitor and identify areas of resistance or concern among employees regarding the transition to Workday.
- Address Concerns: Develop strategies to address resistance and provide reassurance and support to affected employees.
6. Monitoring and Evaluation
- Change Impact Assessment: Evaluate the impact of Workday on organizational processes and employee roles, identifying potential challenges and areas for adjustment.
- Success Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of change management efforts and the overall adoption of Workday.
7. Continuous Improvement
- Post-Implementation Review: Conduct reviews after the go-live phase to assess how well the change management strategies worked and identify lessons learned.
- Ongoing Support and Resources: Ensure that ongoing support and resources are available to users, promoting continuous learning and adaptation as Workday evolves.
8. Collaboration with Other Teams
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, HR, finance, and other departments to ensure alignment in the change management process and the implementation of Workday.
- Integration with Project Management: Collaborate with the project management team to ensure that change management activities are integrated into the overall project plan.
The candidate must:
- A degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Change Management Certification: Certifications from recognized organizations (e.g., Prosci Change Management, ACMP Certified Change Management Professional) demonstrate expertise in change management principles and practices.
- Certifications in Agile methodologies (e.g., Agile Certified Practitioner) or traditional project management (e.g., PMP) can also be valuable.
- While not always mandatory, a solid understanding of Workday functionalities and processes can enhance effectiveness in the role. Certifications in Workday modules (e.g., Workday HCM) can be beneficial.
- Several years of experience in change management, organizational development, or a related field, particularly within HR or IT environments.
- Direct experience in managing change during system implementations or major organizational transformations is highly valued.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey messages clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of how organizational culture impacts change initiatives and the ability to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics.
