Payroll Associate (Private Equity, NYC) - Consulting Opportunity
Our client is an elite Financial Services Asset Management firm with a global presence. This firm is located in midtown NYC and boasts beautiful, modern offices with amenities & perks.
Responsibilities
The role involves a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:
- Processing multi-state US and international payroll utilizing the Workday Payroll system.
- Creating and analyzing key payroll reports.
- Assisting in preparing payroll tax and 401(k) government filings, audits, and tax returns.
- Compiling semi-monthly payroll summaries for Corporate Accounting to document financial data.
- Addressing ad-hoc requests from individuals, Tax, HR, and Corporate Accounting.
- Preparing forecasts, reconciliations, and ad-hoc analyses as needed.
- Collaborating with the FinTech team to improve and automate the reporting functions of the company's enterprise resource planning system, Workday.
- Reviewing the company's outstanding payroll obligations and working with other departments to reconcile and resolve them.
- Managing SSNVS and new hire reporting.
Desired Qualifications
- Meticulous, thorough, and responsible, with a high degree of discretion regarding payroll information.
- Experience with Workday Payroll software is a plus.
- Capable of managing timelines and meeting deadlines.
- Self-motivated and willing to take on new projects and see them through to completion.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel, with advanced Excel skills.
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Must be a US Citizen or have clear authorization to work in the United States.
- Previous payroll experience is an advantage.
