Job Description
Our client, a nationally renowned academic medical center and integrated healthcare delivery system, is currently hiring a Payroll Data Analyst. In this role, be responsible for analyzing, managing, and optimizing an organization's payroll processes by verifying and processing payroll transactions, ensuring accurate employee compensation calculations, maintaining payroll records, and complying with relevant labor laws, effectively acting as a data-driven guardian of accurate payroll operations within a company. This person would also identify and address potential issues to maintain smooth payroll functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and validate payroll data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
- Develop and maintain payroll reports and dashboards to track key metrics and trends.
- Utilize Workday (preferred) or other payroll systems to extract, manipulate, and interpret payroll data.
- Support payroll audits by reconciling data, identifying discrepancies, and providing insights.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT to optimize payroll processes and ensure seamless system integrations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, as well as company policies.
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving payroll efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field experience preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in payroll data analysis, payroll processing, or HRIS analytics.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Workday a real plus.
