Job Summary
We are seeking a Manager, Workday HRMS to lead the configuration, design, and optimization of our Workday Human Resources Management System (HRMS). This role is responsible for ensuring Workday meets the evolving needs of our fast-growing business by managing system enhancements, integrations, reporting, and troubleshooting.
As a Workday expert, you will oversee system architecture, security, and business processes, partnering with HR, IT, and business leaders to drive continuous improvement, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Workday System Design & Configuration
- Manage system enhancements by identifying business needs, recommending solutions, and implementing new features.
- Ensure Workday security roles and permissions are properly configured to maintain data integrity and compliance.
- Partner with stakeholders to streamline workflows, improve system efficiency, and enhance the employee experience.
- Own and lead Workday configuration, testing, and deployment for HR processes such as Core HCM, Talent Management, Compensation, Performance, Absence, Security, Integrations, and Reporting.
- HR Technology Strategy & Optimization
- Lead Workday roadmap planning, ensuring alignment with business objectives and HR strategy.
- Analyze and optimize business processes to improve automation, efficiency, and data accuracy.
- Act as a trusted Workday SME, advising on best practices, new Workday releases, and system capabilities.
- Evaluate Workday feature releases, recommend relevant enhancements, and manage system updates.
Reporting, Analytics & Data Management
- Oversee Workday reporting and dashboards, ensuring HR teams and business leaders have actionable insights.
- Maintain data integrity, ensuring compliance with company policies, data privacy laws, and security standards.
- Support audit and compliance requirements through proper system configurations and reporting.
- Stakeholder & Team Leadership
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, Payroll, IT, and external vendors to ensure seamless integration of Workday with other systems.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Workday-related escalations and issue resolution.
- Lead training and change management initiatives to improve system adoption across HR and end users.
Experience & Expertise
- 7 - 10 years of hands-on Workday experience with expertise in Workday configuration, design, and administration.
- Strong understanding of Workday business process framework, security models, and system integrations.
- Experience in leading Workday system upgrades, new module implementations, and process automation.
- Proven experience managing Workday modules, including Core HCM, Compensation, Talent & Performance, Benefits, Absence, and Security.
Skills & Competencies
- Problem-Solving & Process Improvement: Ability to analyze business needs and develop scalable solutions.
- Project Management: Experience leading system implementations, upgrades, and cross-functional HR technology projects.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly solutions and collaborate with HR, IT, and leadership.
- Data Analytics & Compliance: Strong knowledge of HR data structures, compliance (GDPR, SOX, HIPAA), and system security.
- Technical & Functional Expertise: Deep understanding of Workday configurations, report writing (Advanced, BIRT, Prism), dashboards, and EIBs.
- Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- Workday Pro Certification (preferred but not required).
- Project Management (PMP, Agile, Six Sigma) is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- This position requires the physical capabilities to work in an office environment, which may include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. - This position is required to work onsite 4 days per week.

The pay range for this position is $160,000.00 – $200,000.00 per year. We are required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.
