Join the Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC) as a Workday Administrator, where you will play a key role in maintaining, configuring, and enhancing the Workday system to support organizational efficiency and compliance.
OCDC is a nonprofit organization providing Head Start and comparable early childcare and education programs throughout the state of Oregon. Position Summary
The Workday Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the Workday platform to support the agency’s HR, Finance, and IT business processes. This role ensures system integrity, security, and efficient operation while providing technical expertise and end-user support. The Workday Administrator collaborates with internal stakeholders to implement enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance in alignment with organizational needs.
Essential Functions
- Administer and maintain Workday modules, including HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Management, and Finance.
- Configure business processes, security roles, reports, and dashboards within Workday to meet operational and compliance needs.
- Develop and document system configurations, workflows, and best practices.
- Manage Workday security permissions, user access, and data integrity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, working with internal teams and Workday support as needed.
- Coordinate system updates, releases, and testing to ensure smooth implementation of new features.
- Provide training, support, and subject matter expertise on Workday to leadership and IT support staff.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, internal stakeholders and external consultants to identify and implement system enhancements.
- Stay current with Workday developments, features, and best practices through training and professional development.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree. Preferably in information technology, computer science, business administration or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
- 2+ years of Workday implementation experience required.

Technical and Organizational Skills
- Workday certifications preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Workday administration, including security, reporting, and business process configuration.
- Experience with Workday report writing, calculated fields, and integrations.
- Knowledge of data privacy, compliance, and security best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues effectively.
- Understanding of HR, Payroll, and Finance business processes within Workday.
- Familiarity with Workday’s release management and update process.
