The Benefits Specialist is responsible for managing the company's benefits program.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive employee benefit package with HRBP.
- Handle relationships with benefit brokers, carriers, and vendors.
- Communicate benefits information to employees.
- Analyze quarterly reports on benefit utilization and plan performance.
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Provide frontline benefit support.
- Process Child Medical Support Orders and communicate with Payroll.
- Monitor data transfer processes from the payroll system.
- Approve weekly benefit deduction transfers.
- Update employee personnel files.
- Collaborate with Leave Specialist on benefit coverage changes.
- Conduct New Hire benefits orientation.
- Complete New Hire Form I9 and E-Verify.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of various benefit plans.
- Familiarity with employment laws and regulations.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Proficient with Excel skills.
- Strong communication skills.
Education and Experience
- 7-10 years of benefits program management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
