Paycom HRIS Consultant
PAY RATE: $40–$60/hour
Location: Plano, TX 75024
CONTRACT ROLE-6 months
Schedule: Hybrid – 1 day a week onsite, Monday through Friday
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented HRIS / HR Data Analyst to support a major HR systems integration during a recent company acquisition. This is a critical role focused on HR data consolidation, system optimization, and delivering workforce insights that will shape strategic decisions across the organization.
If you’re experienced in Paycom, highly skilled in Excel, and have a working knowledge of Power BI, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
HR Data Integration & Cleansing
- Migrate and consolidate employee data from the acquired organization into the existing Paycom environment
- Cleanse and validate large datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance
Advanced Reporting & Dashboards
- Develop custom reports and dashboards using Excel (Power Query, pivot tables, advanced formulas) and Power BI
- Deliver real-time insights and status updates on workforce integration to leadership
Paycom System Optimization
- Configure workflows, fields, and user permissions to align with the expanded workforce
- Act as the go-to expert for Paycom-related troubleshooting and system enhancements
Complex Data Analysis
- Perform trend analysis and predictive modeling (e.g., attrition risk, workforce costs, productivity)
- Align compensation structures, job codes, and benefits plans across legacy and acquired systems
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams to ensure consistent data flow
- Join M&A integration meetings as the HR data subject matter expert
Governance & Compliance
- Maintain rigorous data validation protocols and support audit readiness
- Uphold data security standards and establish access control measures post-acquisition
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in HRIS or HR data analysis
- Hands-on expertise with Paycom (reporting, configuration, and data extraction)
- Advanced Excel skills — Power Query, pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and complex formulas
- Proficiency with Power BI and data visualization best practices
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to interpret large datasets with precision
- Familiarity with payroll, benefits, compensation, or compliance regulations
- Experience supporting HR integrations during M&A activities is a plus
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
