You’ll report to the Senior Director, Global Talent Practices and work closely with teammates across the Talent COE, Business HR, HR Leadership Teams, People Solutions, Employee Communications, Business Leaders as well as external partners.
Who We Are Looking For
The Talent Centers of Excellence (COE) designs world-class talent strategies, practices, and programs that enable the NIKE business— from acquiring and growing talent to enabling our inclusive culture. The Talent Practices organization serves as the research, innovation, strategy, and design hub of the Talent COE, building capabilities for all teammates, leaders, and HR. We focus on enterprise-wide Talent Practices for NIKE’s 80k+ teammates around the world, integrating across the Talent COE and connecting to business strategy and capabilities.
- 9+ years of relevant work experience or in a related field.
- 5-7+ years of Talent Management, Leadership Assessment and Development, relevant HR, OD, or Consulting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required, Masters or PhD in I/O Psychology a related field or a combination of relevant experience, education and training.
- Bring expertise across a variety of disciplines within Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, DEI and Leadership Development.
- Experience with implementing talent solutions in Workday or other Talent systems a plus.
- Proven ability to create strategies, practical approaches, and implement global programs and practices at scale.
- Solid ability to sift through data, identify critical information, develop hypotheses and measure impact and outcomes.
- Brings strong storytelling, change management, and experience-based design.
- Strong leadership skills, expertise in coaching, providing feedback at the executive level and demonstrated ability to lead a matrixed team and influence across the organization.
- Demonstrable track record of implementing global solutions and leading large, complex projects and teams.
What You Will Work On
The Director, Global Talent Career & Skills Practices will play a pivotal role in crafting and implementing well-rounded practices that support careers at NIKE – a key priority for NIKE’s Talent Strategy. This includes broad career practices for all NIKE teammates, as well as establishing NIKE’s skill-based talent strategy and roadmap.
In this role, you will build an end-to-end career strategy, encompassing the entire talent lifecycle from selection to development to movement/placement. You will also develop NIKE’s skills ecosystem, including the strategy design, tech roadmap input, and launch to teammates across the globe. Additionally, you will design integrated practices that support strong decision making as it relates to talent across the employee lifecycle (e.g., frameworks and criteria for stretch assignments and rotations, promotions, other internal movement, etc.), as well as exceptional employee and manager experiences.
Lastly, you will partner with key stakeholders across the Talent COE & HR Leadership team and with external vendors to build additional career and talent solutions for Nike leaders. This role will also provide guidance and thought leadership to the People Analytics team on key insights and metrics used for reporting in scorecards, dashboards, and other reporting.
