JOB SUMMARY :
BioCryst is seeking a Sr. HCM Project Manager (PM) that has experience managing Workday HCM and Payroll projects. Reporting to the Director, HR Operations & HRIS, this role will coordinate the efforts of a team of stakeholders across all levels of the company, as well as external partners. The Sr HCM PM will Project Manage the implementation of Biocryst' Workday HCM and Payroll Implementation and ensuring transition to Steady State/Run organization. The ability to collaborate with staff at all levels while remaining professional, proactive, organized, resourceful, and efficient, is critical to this role. We prefer to have this position onboarded before the implementation kickoff (scheduled for May 2025), and continue through hyper-care (scheduled to end in February 2026).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management of Workday HCM and Payroll implementation.
Demonstrates competency in Workday HCM and Payroll product suite and implementation methodology.
Manages multiple projects within the Workday suite involving internal staff and external partners.
Follows the methodologies and standards for IT/HR project management and implementation.
Develops and maintains project documentation (project charter, integrated project plan, communication plan, resource plan, RAID log, etc.).
Establishes project priorities, manages the timely and comprehensive completion of deliverables that adhere to scope, timeline, cost and quality.
Ensures deliverables of the project life cycle are adhered to (Scope, timeline, cost and quality).
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure project milestones are met.
Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
Document project processes, decisions, and outcomes.
Consistently update stakeholders on project status via regularly scheduled meetings and Steering Committee when necessary.
Publishes project status reports, metrics, action plans, decisions and meeting minutes.
Performs related duties as assigned or requested.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
10+ years in Information Technology or Human Resources acting as a project manager.
5+ years direct HCM Project Management experience supporting HR and Payroll projects
Proficient in Project Management methodologies, tools, and processes
Advanced knowledge and experience with MS Office Suite (i.e.: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Visio)
Proficient in the use of PPM (Project Portfolio Mgmt.) software and/or able to learn new software quickly
The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, as well as part of a high-functioning team
Analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent organizational capabilities
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Effective time management
Experience working in Biotech or Pharmaceutical organizations, is a plus
PMP Certification is strongly encouraged
