As the Accounting Operations Manager, I oversee the Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in all financial operations. I lead the accounting team, driving financial integrity and operational excellence while aligning processes with GAAP standards. My role involves financial reporting, audit coordination, and regulatory compliance, supporting the organization's overall fiscal health.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and audit accounting operations, maintaining robust financial systems in accordance with GAAP and industry best practices.
Manage AR/AP, payroll, general ledger reconciliation, tax payments, and inventory control, ensuring smooth financial workflows.
Act as the primary liaison for external auditors, overseeing annual financial audits and 401K compliance.
Oversee the preparation of financial statements, conduct month-end closings, and perform margin analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and transparency in financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations, mitigating risk and maintaining regulatory adherence.
Conduct monthly operational and financial analyses to drive data-backed business decisions.
Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the finance and executive teams.
Qualifications & Skills:
Extensive knowledge of GAAP and industrial accounting standards with a strong focus on financial integrity and compliance.
Proficiency in accounting software, with advanced PC spreadsheet skills, particularly in pivot tables and financial modeling.
Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and guide accounting professionals.
Excellent communication and coordination abilities, ensuring cross-functional collaboration and effective stakeholder engagement.
High-energy problem solver with a proactive approach to financial challenges and process optimization.
Strong multitasking and time management skills, capable of handling multiple financial priorities simultaneously.
Preferred: Mandarin language skills for enhanced communication in a global business environment.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Accounting, or Finance.
Experience: 7+ years of accounting management experience, preferably within the food distribution or manufacturing industry.
Software Proficiency: Workday ERP and other enterprise-level financial management systems.
